Send us your scope and we come back with the lowest price available on Vanta. One business day, no call, no demo. If you already have a quote, tell us the number and we will tell you straight whether we can beat it. If we cannot, you have lost four fields and a day.
Why not just take the quote you have?
Because you have no way to tell what it should have been. Vanta prices every deal on its own, so the number you were given is the number that firm chose to give you, and nothing on the page you are reading it from says whether it could have gone lower.
What you see
One number, and nothing to hold it against.
The best number available for your scope, with what it covers spelled out.
How you know it is a good one
You do not. There is no published price to check it against, and the firm quoting you has no reason to volunteer that it could go lower.
You get the lowest one, and if the quote you already hold beats it we tell you that instead of selling over it.
What it costs to find out
A week of calls and demos, if you chase several firms yourself, and a discovery call with each one before anybody says a number.
Four fields and a day, with no call at all.
What is Vanta?
Vanta is a compliance automation platform, launched in 2018, that connects to the systems you already run and collects the evidence an auditor needs to see. It has the widest integration library in the category at over 400 connectors, runs automated control checks hourly rather than at audit time, and publishes a trust page that enterprise security reviewers recognise. Onboarding is self serve, which moves fastest for a team that already knows what it is doing.
What it does not do is the audit. Vanta prepares and organises evidence; an independent CPA firm performs the audit and issues the report. Vanta is not owned by an audit firm, which is the structural difference between it and Secureframe. The full platform profile covers all nine points we assess every platform against.
What do you actually get with Vanta?
You get a connection to the systems you already run, an automated check on each one, and somewhere the evidence lands that an auditor can read. Over 400 connectors, checks running hourly rather than at audit time, prewritten policies to adapt, and a trust page you can point enterprise buyers at. It covers SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA and a long tail beyond them, with each additional framework priced separately.
What you do not get is the audit. Vanta prepares and organises evidence; an independent CPA firm performs the audit and issues the report. If you are still working out which framework is actually being asked of you, the framework check answers that in about a minute and costs nothing.
Does the platform change how fast you get SOC 2?
Barely, and that is worth knowing before anyone sells you speed. The platform is rarely what sets your date. The observation window is. A SOC 2 Type 1 attests that your controls are designed appropriately at a single point in time, so it can be turned around comparatively quickly. A Type 2 attests that they actually operated effectively across an observation period, commonly a few months to a year, and that period cannot be compressed by spending more money. Buyers will usually accept a Type 1 as credible progress while the Type 2 window runs.
This matters for how you buy. If a deal is blocked right now, what unblocks it is an auditor's comfort or engagement letter confirming the work is underway, your own security documentation, and a committed dated timeline. It is not a bridge letter, which is self issued and requires a prior report to stand on, so it does not apply to a first SOC 2 at all. Getting the platform faster does not move any of that; getting the engagement started does.
Is Vanta a good fit for a startup?
Yes, and it is the common case. Self serve onboarding means no customer success manager is imposed on you, not that you are on your own. Most first SOC 2 programmes on Vanta are set up by an implementation partner, which is what the model is built around, and the quotes you get here cover that work. The one situation where a guided platform does more for you is doing it entirely alone with nobody owning it.
A good fit if
- More than one framework is on your roadmap in the next two years
- Your infrastructure is non standard with a long integration tail
- Somebody on the team has run a compliance programme before
- Your buyers are enterprise and will recognise the trust page
Look harder if
- Nobody internally owns this and nobody has done it before
- One framework is all you will ever need. See Vanta vs Sprinto
- Your auditor already works inside another platform. See Vanta vs Drata
- You are under about 25 people and nobody has asked for a report yet
Either way the price question is the same one. Buying the right platform badly is more expensive than buying the second best platform well.
How much does Vanta cost?
Nobody can tell you, and anyone who gives you a figure in the abstract is describing somebody else's deal. Vanta publishes no list price. Quote based pricing means the number is built for you, from your headcount, your frameworks, your term length, which add ons are folded in, and how close the seller is to the end of a quarter. Two companies the same size sign on the same day at very different numbers, and neither of them ever finds out.
That is the whole reason this page exists. The only number that means anything is the one written for your scope, and the only way to know whether it is a good one is to see what the alternatives came back with for the same scope. That comparison is the thing we do, and it is the thing a single partner structurally cannot do for you.
Find out what you should be paying
Four fields, one business day, every quote we can get for your scope ranked by price. Bring the number you already have and we will tell you honestly whether it is a good one.
Get my Vanta price ↑What should you settle before you sign?
Most of what people lose on a compliance platform is not lost in the first negotiation. It is lost in year two, on terms nobody read in year one. These four are worth an hour of your time whether or not you ever talk to us.
Find your renewal notice window, today
These subscriptions typically roll into another year on their own unless written notice arrives before a deadline set in the agreement. Read your own contract, find the exact deadline, and put it in a calendar with a reminder well ahead of it. Missing that date is the most expensive clerical error in this category and it is entirely avoidable.
Assume the renewal quote arrives higher
Renewal pricing drifts upward when nobody pushes back, and the drift is not a penalty for anything. It is simply what the number does if you leave it alone. Treat every renewal as a fresh negotiation rather than an invoice, and start it early enough that walking away is still credible.
Negotiate the uplift clause, not just year one
Contracts commonly cap how much the price can rise each year. Almost nobody argues about that cap, because in year one it feels theoretical. It is one sentence, it is negotiable, and over a three year term it is worth more than most of what does get argued about on the first call.
Decide on add ons before the quote is built
Trust pages, vendor risk management and each extra framework are priced separately, and any of them can move the total substantially. Work out which you actually need before the quote is written. Folded into the original scope they are a negotiating item. Bolted on in month four they are simply a new purchase.
Common questions
How do you get a better price than I would on my own?
By running your scope past several firms that implement Vanta at once and handing you the best number that comes back. You could do that yourself over a week of calls. This is the same thing in a day, without the calls.
How much does Vanta cost?
There is no published list price, and any specific figure you read online is somebody else's deal rather than a rate card. The number is built for your headcount, your frameworks, your term length and which add ons are included. The useful question is not what Vanta costs in general but whether the quote in front of you is a good one, which you can only answer by seeing what the alternatives came back with for the same scope.
Is the guarantee real?
Yes. Send us the number you have. If we cannot beat it, we say so plainly and you have lost four fields and a day. We would rather tell you the quote you already hold is a good one than waste your time pretending otherwise.
What does it cost me?
Nothing. It stays free whether or not you do anything with what we send back.
What is Vanta?
A compliance automation platform, launched in 2018, that connects to over 400 systems and runs automated checks to collect the evidence frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA require. It does not perform the audit. An independent CPA firm does that and issues the report.
How long does SOC 2 take?
A Type 1 attests your controls are designed appropriately at a point in time and can move quickly. A Type 2 attests they operated effectively across an observation period, commonly a few months to a year, and no amount of money compresses that window. If a deal is blocked now, what unblocks it is an auditor's comfort letter plus a dated timeline, not a faster platform.
Will this slow down my purchase?
Usually one business day. If a deal is blocked on a security review right now, say so in the form and it moves to the front of the queue.
Do I have to buy Vanta?
No. If the quotes come back and the honest read is that another platform fits your situation better at the price, that is in the reply. We take no money from Vanta or from any other software vendor, so there is nothing on our side riding on which one you pick.
My renewal is coming up. Is it too late?
Only if you are already inside your notice window. These subscriptions usually renew on their own unless written notice arrives by a deadline set in your agreement, so check that date in your own contract first, today, then come back. Leverage before that date and leverage after it are not the same thing.
Who actually does the implementation?
A managed security and compliance provider who does this for a living. The quotes you get back cover their work as well as the licence, so you are seeing the real number rather than the licence alone.
